DESCRIPTION:\n\nDebate Events:  Parliamentary Debate\nTwo Divisions: 6th – 12th\n1)  Novice\n2)  Open\nWhere & When:  University of Berkeley – Campus Map\n \n\nSaturday\, 10/14 from 7 am to end (7-11 pm)\nLocations: Dwinelle Hall\, the Valley Life Sciences Building & Wheeler Hall (enter campus through Sather Gate & take right)\n \n\nCheck In/Register: 7:25 am in front of Wheeler Hall\n\nBring your completed waiver or you may not participate.\n\n\nJudge Orientation: 7:45 am in front of Wheeler Hall\nJudge Room: Wheeler 126\nTab: Wheeler 130\nLunch: between 2nd & 3rd round (12:30-2:15 pm)\nNovice: 4 Preliminary rounds – round 1 at ca. 9 am\nOpen: 5 Preliminary rounds – round 1 at ca. 8 am\n\n\nSunday\, 10/15 from 9 am to 6 pm – Dwinelle Hall only\n\nGeneral Assembly: 9 am Dwinelle 155\n\nSpeaker Awards followed by Championship rounds.\n\n\nLunch: not scheduled\n\n\n\n\n\n\nRegistration Deadline:  Tuesday\, 10/9/17 at 5 pm\n\nRegister Here\n\nDebaters please read:  Debater & Prep Rules\nJudges please read:  Judge Information \n\n\n\n\n\n\nInfo:\n\nCal Parli Invitational: Announcements\, Updates & Topics.\n\nFacebook\nTabroom\n\n\nInternet: The network name is “Cal Visitor” and requires no password.\nFood near Campus\nParking\n\nThe best free option is street parking\, but those usually last 8 hours maximum.\n\n\n\nTournament Prep (optional):\n\nFriday\, 10/13 from 3 – 6 pm\nHillview Middle School – Room G4\nArriving late and leaving early ok\nBring a device for online prep\n\nParticipation Requirements:\n\nStudents need permission from Coach Brier to attend.\nStudents must register by the deadline.\nAll fees must be paid by Thursday\, 10/12/17.\nJudging Requirement:  Each TEAM needs to have 1 adult\, who will be available to judge all rounds.\n\nJudges need to be available: Sat. 10/14 from 7 am – 11 pm and Sun. 10/15 from 9 am – 6 pm.\n\n\nGuardian Requirement:  1 adult may the Guardian of 4 Debaters. Each Debater needs to have 1 adult present\, who will be responsible for them while at the tournament.
